Private tutor in Missoula, MT
Education
M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Montana; B.A. with Honors in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan
Experience
For the past two years, I've taught composition and creative writing at the University of Montana. Long ago, I got a 1510 on my SAT. This month, I finished graduate school with a 3.97. I was nominated for the 2009 Essay Prize, and I have published fiction and nonfiction in the Believer, McSweeney's, the Portland Review, and elsewhere. I was an Associate Editor of Hope Deferred, a book of oral histories, and have worked as a magazine writer and editor. In short, I have experience as a teacher, writer, and editor, and I am excited to work with students to improve their writing, their reading, or their essay writing. I am available for help with English or writing classes, with creative writing, or with college essays.
