I have been tutoring and teaching in a variety of settings for 10 years, and I use all of that experience to meet my students where they are and build a customized approach specific to their needs. My area of expertise is tutoring adults in College Algebra. I bring tutoring AND real world experience to the table to help my students achieve real results. My background encompasses everything from running my own small business to being a professional engineer to completing in-depth life coach training. I really enjoy teaching, especially in a 1 on 1 setting. As an introvert, I can relate to students who thrive in a quiet environment with customized teaching. I have a passion for math, science, and writing. Seeing students make connections in these areas and truly begin to succeed in the subjects is a thrill. I focus on comprehension and understanding, beginning the process where the student is now and working from their current level. It's not about cramming to ace a test; it's about feeling confident. Hobbies
I love hiking and camping with my 2 Border Collies - my adventure dog companions! I used to teach and compete in West Coast Swing (a partner dance), but now I go to a social dance maybe twice a year. I still really enjoy it. I run my own professional life coaching business, and I truly thrive being an entrepreneur. It's so rewarding helping others achieve their major life goals!
