I'm a 5th year senior and French Major at UM. I studied abroad in Lyon, France in French for my junior year and I have substitute taught French. I passed the AP French Exam with a 3 and started with Junior level French when I came to the U. In France I lived with a host family for 6 months of my stay and had to do a lot of writing in French. This year I will be taking an Advanced Writing course to finish up my studies. Sometimes I feel my grammar needs work, but for the High School level or beginning College level I do quite well. I love to work on pronunciation and often walk around the house speaking to myself in French. (N'aie pas peur! Ce n'est pas trop bizarre.) I have tutored French a little bit and have had friends try to teach me languages, so I know not to overwhelm students. I am discerning at seeing where students need work and where they are excelling.
