Chemistry B.S. with Honors, University of Chicago (June 2016) Currently a research tech in a biochemistry lab at UM as a gap-year job--planning on going to graduate school starting next fall.

I have a very strong background in chemistry, including good grades in both undergrad and graduate level classes and years of research (primarily in organic and organometallic chemistry). I have experience with humanities work and good reading/writing skills from UChicago's Core program (which has a heavy focus on writing and literature/philosophy/social science text interpretation) and from taking many extra classes in English literature and philosophy. I also have some experience tutoring mentally disabled children. My brother has severe autism and during the summer I helped carry out his summer school speech and motor skills programs.

Hobbies

Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing, hiking, running listening to music, and cooking. I'm pretty new to Missoula, so I'm still settling in and finding new things that I like to do here! I also really enjoy ceramics and am trying to choose a place where I can start making dishes and things again. I've also recently started teaching myself about electronic circuits after getting really interested in them during my experimental physical chemistry class.
